Suki Waterhouse Drops Two New Singles Ahead of Coachella Set
Ahead of her performance at Coachella, Suki Waterhouse dropped two new singles: “My Fun” and “Faded.”
“My Fun” is a laidback spring stunner, while “Faded” is a mellow rocker backed by acoustic and strings. It features one hell of an opening from Waterhouse: “You used to call me Yoko/Cause I made a joke that all your friends are leaving.” Both videos feature stop-motion-style animation from Callum Scott-Dyson.
The singer, model, and Daisy Jones & the Six actress recently posted a photo of her newborn baby she had with her longtime partner Robert Pattinson. She’s slated to play both weekends at Coachella, on the Friday of both weekends.
“It’s such an anxious state when I’m trying to put together a song, because you always feel like you are on the edge of something,” Waterhouse told Rolling Stone in January. “It’s really about going against the intellect and into the instinct of the song. That’s what I find so fascinating about writing. It’s really the most tedious, delicate process, so dependent on whether you can get out of your own way that day.”
“My Fun” and “Faded” follow the single “OMG,” which Waterhouse released in January. All three singles will be released off her upcoming album due later this year. “I started coming up with a concept that I think is like a metamorphosis,” she said. “There’s basically something to do with this disco ball spider, and that’s all I’ll say for now.”
