In addition to Chalamet and Zendaya, Dune: Part Two also stars Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan, Austin Butler as Feyd-Rautha, Javier Bardem as Fremen leader Stilgar, Josh Brolin, and Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica. Picking up where Dune: Part One left off, the Villeneuve-directed sequel “explores the mythic journey of Paul Atreides (Chalamet) as he unites with Chani (Zendaya) and the Fremen while on a warpath of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee,” according to the film’s synopsis on Amazon.
In Rolling Stone‘s Dune: Part Two movie review, David Fear writes, “We leave as we came in, knowing more is on the way, yet punch-drunk from the love triangles and the battles that will lead to even bigger fracas among fractured, warring houses. It’s not a spoiler to say that the stage is set for a third movie. Until then, however, Villeneuve and his cast leave you high on the spice of a science fiction sequel that seems bigger, bolder and somehow better than what came before it.”
